Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Perry was forbidden to perform with her parents till an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might result in. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved from Boston University. After graduating Perry went into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California which is where she discovered theater work. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of nine episodes of ABC's show The Family. Her father portrayed her in The ABC Drama Scandal. She also played in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong connection with it.
