Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress well known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in a few Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. The same year, she released her first musical album, This is Tina Time. Louise made her debut on the screen in Hollywood as God's Little Acre a drama which was made in 1958. She performed the role of Griselda the main character of the film. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career in between Broadway TV and Hollywood playing more serious characters as in contrast to her portrayal as a glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also earned an impact as an accomplished director on several well-known television series including Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three and she continued to live there throughout in the adolescent years and childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and she has settled down there ever since.
