Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was a professor, and Ilkay, a playwright and director, who also became famous as an actress. Anna is able to recall certain memories she had when she was a kid, such as seeing her mother work during play rehearsals. Silk appeared as a little girl in numerous commercials. In 1997, she earned an associate's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged two plays in the early years: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to Los Angeles in the decade after 1999. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met at an Actorsworkshop at Los Angeles. The couple got engaged in 2009, then married in a civil ceremony in the month of December in that same year. The couple renewed their vows on April 10th, 2011 in Fredericton following the wedding, when the bride was converted to Judaism.
